i'm not gun expert but could it be a light grain hollow point that cavitated to the point where it didn't actually punch out the back of kirk? look at the huge bulge that forms on his back here. completely aligns with a round from the front, hitting him in the neck, coming down at a slight ~7 or so degree angle.
also the giga autist john cullen ran acoustic analysis that suggests there was a single shot from 143 yards away. which marries exactly with the supposed snipers nest.
note that i am not speculating if the person that pulled the trigger is or isn't tyler.
