They should've brought back the goal line races from ITC. It's a nice change of pace from the usual SP battles, and they also make you take routes you wouldn't usually take.

I would love if there was some late game wanderer or something, like the florist guy in his Super GT Supra, that would race you for an entire lap of the C1.
