The game even had two public demos with entire scenes and battle systems completely different from what we got in the final game

This game gets way better after you leave the open world and frog catching quests or whatever the fuck, I'm almost pissed they wasted so much time and money on the camping simulator rather than refining the whole thing into a bombastic setpiece machine.
Was the camping shit even a promised feature for Versus XIII? Why did they pivot towards that?
