Despite how profoundly retarded our governments are, I don't think they'd be stupid enough to try a draft. It was a total trainwreck when used for Vietnam and that was back when people had countries worth a damn. Best case scenario they'll have all the same problems as Vietnam but worse. Mass dodging, and guys who've been drafting going AWOL or defecting at the first chance, fragging officers, and morale just being locked a zero because of nobody wanting to be there or believing in the propaganda. Worst case scenario you get all of the above, but also an active insurgency on the home front from a segment of your would be slave soldiers deciding they'd rather die killing their real enemies.
