Asa literally just saved his ass. And now he saw her having problems dealing with her past because she was indirectly responsible for her father's death (or at least so she believes). This makes Denji relate even more to her because he did the same to his dad. And this doesn't even include all of the other times they've bonded so far. (aquarium arc, falling arc, aging's dimension, etc.)

I swear you schizos don't even read the manga.
