Part 2 really highlights how important Aki and Power were in making Denji so likeable. Denji needed the contrast of both a serious character like Aki, who suffered each and every one of the losses incurred through the story, making Denji's levity very welcome and refreshing; and a silly character dumber than even Denji, like Power or Beam that one time, to make Denji look somewhat sensible in comparison, and not just a braindead clown.

Not saying Asa doesn't have her moments, but as far as interacting with Denji, she never achieved more than failed attempts at saviorfagging. The less be said about Yoshida or Death the better.
