Modern gamedev is fucked. Management is so bad that if everyone isn't doing 99% the same shit as everyone else, then the product just fails to come together. Modern game dev is optimized for producing cookie cutter shit with all the gaps capable of being filled in 2 weeks of poorly scheduled crunch.
