Having Amazons would have been less anachronistic than having the Cimmerians given they ain't there for 500 fucking years. Though to be frank I'd have had the Phrygians have cavalry. A reason I heard a GW dev say is that fundamentally spess mehreens just sell well to little timmy because he can paint them more easily. Big pauldrons, big smooth shapes and all. I think it's that but also the armor porn/heavy armor fetish I talked about a thread ago. Had WHF have had some templar gigaknight frontline warriors they may have still gotten squatted to make it more copyrightable but I suspect WHF would have done better sales wise.
