The Konami debacle goes way beyond Kojima himself. Konami literally decided to nope out of vidya for the better part of a decade because their new CEO thought mobile was the future. Kojima's departure only upset Metal Gear fans, now imagine how Castlevaniafags, Silent Hillfags, Contrafags and more all felt when their IPs became graveyards because Konami decided to shitcan game development.
