It's not just about "acceptance of loss and death," a phrase so broad it borders on meaningless. Everyone has to deal with loss at some point - that's called living. Shadowheart, Lae'zel, and Minthara all lose something, from these years spent living a lie, which they can never get back, to their home or faith. Karlach's best ending has her go back to Avernus with the player character at her side and renewed hope, so it's not about some defeatist acceptance of the inevitable either. It's perhaps bittersweet because she doesn't get to "win" as much as the others, but her epilogue does end on a note of optimism.
