>the point is we aren't here to fight about sub or dub
/vp/ isn't your personal board. If people want to discuss the different versions then they're free to do so. They don't need your permission
>Last thread there was a big chunk just talking about trannies in a discord
For some reason you're leaving out the most important piece of information. An anon in the previous thread asked where they can watch the entire series. Another poster recommended that if they're looking for the dub to look in various places. Relevant to this is that that poster said if you're looking for subtitled versions of the Japanese release then to avoid SOSSubs fansubs.
Someone asked this anon why SOS should be avoided and they responded by listing some of the issues: poor translations, strange and annoying spelling choices and the evident trannyness of the way they chose to translate the dialogue, especially pronouns. These "trannies in a discord server" are the SOS (Sea of Serenity) Subs fansub group.
One poster saw the discussion and posted screenshots from their discord server that went a long way towards explaining why their subs are ass and should be avoided. The icon of their discord server is the tranny flag and they have an entire channel devoted to tranny shit, "a safe place to talk about all things Pride and LGBT+ community. :)". Furthermore the anon with access to their discord server posted screenshots of their translator and subtitler akiko / bumblyumbly, who has singlehandedly subbed all of their Pokémon releases, writing wall of text essays talking about whether pokémon "can be queer" and whether they are homosexual.
As one anon observed, it was a good showcase of how poor quality the subs are as their translator doesn't understand basic grammar.
