They don't stand out at all until you hear their accent, but otherwise they act the same as any other normal Canadian would act. They assimilate perfectly well, same with Aussies, Scots, Kiwis, Irish, and almost all other white people who come here.
There always used to be a strong sense of assimilating until the 1990s when certain groups started pushing for less integration and more division.
Most of the white immigrants that live here came to Canada because of marriage, they met their spouse studying abroad and decided to settle here where their spouse lives.
