Something is happening with Square Enix right now that may fundamentally change the nature of the company.
The latest financial report has spurned 3D investment partners, a Singaporean based investment group with a focus on Japanese companies to increase their acquisition percentage of SE. In January of this year they owned 0% of SE currently they own 13.7% of SE and are seeking to increase their ownership stake on the back of the latest financial report as they see this as a golden opportunity.

On the news of this SE stock price itself is rising still based off speculation of a potential take over by this group at some point in the future(perhaps within 2 years).
