The simulation argument is really strange, in my mind I can't help but rationalize the simulation as a part of objective reality, so the distinction gets real muddy for me. After all, games, etc. are running on physical hardware, which itself is a part of our physical reality, the circuits and data they transmit are real and measurably tangible.
Maybe it just depends on how granular you want to go with the idea.
