I wonder if this means it's finally time for another horror movie to win an Oscar for something besides just Best Makeup but probably not. Normies might watch it more now but they still underrate a lot of horror on IMDB and Letterboxd but this new batch of critics seem to actually take the genre seriously and enjoy it otherwise The Substance wouldn't have been nominated at all this year.
