this is very correct. Just so you know, most Americans don't actually think of themselves as the name "white". They don't actually say, "lets do the white people thing". If you even start saying "white people" around Americans they will start behaving visually uncomfortable. It was always a pejorative to brow beat poor European ethnicities in the "fly-over states". There are zero students at Harvard speaking proudly about themselves as the white color. This name as a positive semantic just does not exist and never will. It is a semantical error.
