fat xiao might be a lousy writer but at least he writes genshin's story from start to finish, so it's somewhat consistent and stays within the same general themes, while with wow you have a different writer every 2 years who constantly try to one up each other by shitting on previously established lore and wanting to replace it with their own which doesn't fit anything so the whole story just ends up being a mishmash of pieces that don't fit anywhere
