Russia is currently an oligarchy, run by a small elite class. But when it was ‘communism’ it was still run by a small group of elites (oligarchy). Before that it was a monarchy run by a small group of elites. Communism and Socialism is just oligarchy rebranded as equality.

Your arguments are merely academic and semantic. Socialism, communism, and fascism are all authoritarian regimes run by a small groups of Elites (oligarchs). They just have different branding for the masses. It’s just aristocracy repackaged.

The different ideologies are just different flavors of totalitarianism. The ideology is just academic. To the Elites at the top, and the common man with a boot on his neck, they all work the same.

The system used to find safety in treating its people with dignity and respect. It now finds safety in sunken cost, where people that were shit on for their entire existence want to cling to what little scraps they managed to claw onto. In time, the system became too self assured. Too greedy. And so there was no sense of social unity to secure the system. It enforced inequality and injustice. And now there was nothing for participants to lose. They could only gain from a collapse of the system. Such is the way of things as money worshippers lose sight of broader goals.
