I always liked his take that ancient festivals like Saturnalia were all about letting typhonic and unrestrained hedonistic elements out to play in a tightly constrained time slot so they didn't seep into day to day life, and died out in the modern era bc in the late stages of the Kali Yuga we're just in clownworld by default
