walter white's transformation is pretty crazy too
maybe this is a more common theme than I previously expected. BUT I stand by what I initially said. I feel like media outside of the anglo/western world is more simplistic stories of good vs evil or love or battles against the bad guy. they really don't explore complex themes in the same way
