I understand it helped you cope, I wouldn't take that from you, but drugs like this are not supposed to exist.
It's not supposed to even be an option.

We got so comfortable with the idea that we should be allowed something just because it exists. Xanax should not exist, it should not be an option. In the absence of that, the only option you have is learning to deal with these problems.

Xanax means you don't need to learn. You just get relief. That's danger dressed as safety. I hope you don't need it these days. If you still do, I hope you learn to employ mental techniques that are more difficult, sure, but they will give you the same peace.
