Imagine how many offers Gaben has received to sell Steam since 2003? I'm willing to bet pretty much every major company has sent him buyout offers at least once, such as Microsoft, Apple, nvidia, Tencent, EA, etc. The value of those offers has probably exponentially increased. Imagine being Gaben and offered 4 billion dollars for Steam and you're all like, "nah."
That's why Gaben is the authentic Tony Stark, not the Elon the con artist.
>actually cares about customers
>knows what gamers want because he's a nerd gamer himself
>invests in technology
>(picrel) buys a shipyard and is building a $300,000,000 science ship to explore the deepest parts of the oceans and share the findings with the world
Gaben's not perfect nor do I agree with everything he says, but he's our guy. His existence is a sardonic middle finger to big corpo con artists like Kotick.
