I'd like to think half of /co/'s catalogue is somewhat primed for some kind of post timeskip revival, wouldn't matter if they're cancelled after 2 seasons or 20. They just need:
>a coherent vision of a post-finale future, either to explain the timeskip later or saving the timeskip period for another storyline.
>a selling point that the revival has reinvented the franchise with a new premise to appeal to both a grown up old audience and to attract a new one that could come in somewhat blind.
>some kind of dignified way to bring the MC back from onscreen retirement, either making them a master of their craft, or implying that they were still active during the timeskip. But they still have to retain some kind of basic flaws so they can get new story arcs for them to grow more.
That last point is really important too. Old fans will be mad that the revival or reboot bringing back OG characters as cashgrabs no matter what, but they can easily point out whether the new show fucks up the "ending" of their favorite characters or assassinated them for a new storyline/MC.
I don't envy any new writers that has to enter a beloved franchise and write new storylines (because worse and cheaper writers will always be waiting to replace them by the execs). They still have to balance between reinventing the wheel and retaining the magic of the old classic.
I can kinda get the idea of using objects for objectification ans how youre literally just a thing being used for somebody else but like I feel this type of narrative is tone deaf with how "cute" the designs are?

It's a matter of fact that the greatest impacts of it keep being ~5-10 years out and get pushed back constantly and has been the case since the 1970s.
