Indoor ranges typically have lanes reserved for rifles or carbines so if he did shoot out to 25 then it was probably in an entirely separate room which tracks with >>64438081 this image appearing to be of a range that only spans out to 15 yards with the bull's eye target hanging over what must be a 10-yard line. I don't imagine there'd be a rule against bringing a pistol with you into a rifle lane but stranger things have happened
