No. If you shoot revolvers better, you should carry a revolver. If you shoot an auto better, you should carry an auto. It's as simple as that. Capacity anxiety isn't really something you should bother with when the likelihood of you ever needing to shoot someone is so low. Being able to put a hole in places that you cant survive a hole being punched into and being able to do it fast is what really counts in a self defense situation. I can draw and fire my revolvers a bit better than most of my pistols so I tend to carry revolvers.

No, closest thing I've shot is my M9, if that's even similar. P9S is a good shooter but it might be difficult to find one for a good price or in good condition. A lot of the ones I've seen for sale are beat up police trade-ins.

Fun fact: "The P9S was adopted by various elite police and military units, including the German GSG-9, Japanese Special Armed Police, and the U.S. Navy Seals, in addition to the Royal Malaysia Police and Armed Forces." I love my P9S and actually own two, the other being a .45 target model with an adjustable trigger. Not sure why it isn't a more popular handgun. I guess because it's old. My main issue with it is actually the trigger guard/grip angle. My trigger finger ends up pointing down at a strange angle when I choke up on the grip like I usually do. Pic rel is how my grip looks if my trigger finger is at a natural point, which isn't high enough up for how my grip usually is. Other than that I like the m92 and px4 so it's a shame the ergos for both don't agree with me.

Most folks find them sort of blocky and they are priced a lot higher that other pistols with their features due to brand name not product delivered.

For alternatives, check out the Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0, Ruger RXM, the CZ P10c, the FN 509, and the Walther PDP. Some of these cost half as much as glock but all of them offer more features. The best thing for you to do is call around different gun ranges in your area and find one that allows infinite swaps for a flat fee and shoot 10-20 rounds through each pistol until you figure out which you like and shoot the best.

Certainly the best open emitter optic (not best bang for the buck though) right now, kills batteries quick though, my batteries I think last 7-8 months in EDC but I'm in the brighter auto brightness mode.

About as much usable window as an SRO, I couldn't really tell the difference between the two in use.

Going back to the Type 2, it's not that bad actually. Like 1/4 of the window is unusable due to the super tall deck (being taller than the window) but I didn't seem to mind if if I put in the time to practice with the RMR Type 2 on a gun.

For your use case a compact sized pistol is best. The glock 19, and compact size of everything else I reccomended will be the best compromise of easy to learn to shoot with AND to learn to conceal. Get a kydex holster for it, not something fabric or leather as they can deform bunch up and pull the trigger and leg ya. When you hold your pistol don't cross your thumbs, have them stacked on top of each other.

Don't buy a small tiny gun to learn on, you will struggle and get discouraged. Don't buy a glock or M&P or any other pistol if you pick one up in the store and hate how it feels. You're more likely to actually shoot something you like shooting, and that means more training which will make you more proficient.

The only thing that’s keeping me from buying a Walther PDP are two things.
