Its a casual leauge but it is actual target pistols with actual target shooters. One of the guys used to be an alt for the olympics.
I mainly do it because its how my old man likes to shoot and its a fun way to spend time with him.

Exactly this. Im using a ruger mkii against pardinis and gsp's. Im not trying to be bleeding edge just having fun. Current .45 is an ria so anything is an improvment.

They do a 25 yd three gun match basically following nra bullseye rules. .22, "center fire pistol", and a .45.

I'm finally getting my own house innawoods on 5 acres. It's well hidden from the road and no neighbors very close by.

I want to get a pistol I can open carry in a holster while I do stuff in the shop or out landscaping.

I've only had concealable pistols before, so the idea of having a full size that I don't have to worry about printing with is a novelty.

Kind of thinking about celebrating with something gucci like a mk23, but I'm certainly open to more reasonable ideas.
