Carrying a S&W 457. Bought it cheap on a whim, but have really come to like it. It's a handy little .45 once the grips are replaced, I just hate that finding reliable factory magazines for it isn't easy.
When not carrying that, I've got a J Frame Chief's Special I pocket carry. It's so easy to tote around.

I'm finally getting my own house innawoods on 5 acres. It's well hidden from the road and no neighbors very close by.

I want to get a pistol I can open carry in a holster while I do stuff in the shop or out landscaping.

I've only had concealable pistols before, so the idea of having a full size that I don't have to worry about printing with is a novelty.

Kind of thinking about celebrating with something gucci like a mk23, but I'm certainly open to more reasonable ideas.

I think it's just magazines with greater than 10 round capacity can't be sold or traded in WA at the moment. They have no way to prove you didn't already own them, and most sheriff's offices are against it in the first place.

For legal purposes I do not carry a 9mm Shield Plus because I only moved to this state recently and haven't gotten my CHL yet (fucking classes are booked up months in advance), so I have no way of knowing that the Alien Gear holster I got along with it fucking sucks and that I really want something different.

Pretty much only carry a J frame these days. Nothing like being a white boy that can print 8 inch groups at 25 yards with

I concealed carried a Glock 17 MOS with an RMR daily for 2 years in the 3:30 position and I was quite skinny back then. I wouldn't care if I printed, but I'm not sure I ever did. Carried a 19 OWB in a Safariland ALS on duty. Doesn't matter. Don't care. I do think micro 9's are retarded because they weigh nearly as much and aren't as easy to draw or grip. I carry a J frame mostly these days.

I have a model 37 right now, basically a dasa, aluminum framed J Frame. It's not in good shape but I feel bad carrying it. Also I don't want to run +P loads through it. I think I will end up getting 640, stainless centennial .357 with a full underlug.

Vintage is always preferred but even if I got a new one I would put walnut grips and a grip adapter on it

.357 isn’t necessary. Federal .38 punch 120gr +p meets fbi standards and is specifically designed for snubbies. Excellent expansion and weight retention. 13-15 inches of penetration on calibrated gelatin from a 1.75 inch barrel.

Nah it’s fine. I’m much more likely to throw a shot with a bad trigger control than bad sight alignment. It’s really just a last ditch option to defend myself at point blank range. I’m not trying to engage active shooters or anything. And I live in a low crime area.
