It's great until you actually buy one and realize that you spent a shitload of money on a gun made entirely out of leaf springs, and if one of them wears out then the gun will disassemble itself when you shoot it, and since the gun is over 100 years old it's gonna wear out

If you don't have one already you need to get a single action .22 for shits and giggles. You can get a pot metal one from heritage for like 100-200$ bucks or a nicer one like the ruger single ten for ~700$. I have a single ten and I'd say it's definitely worth the money, fiber optic sights by default, ten rounds to a chamber, able to fire .22 s/l/lr, very sturdily built for a .22, and after the thousands of rounds I've fired through mine the only malfunctions I've had were ammo related. And you can fan it too, obviously.

I'm a fan of the grip angle change (aka Vertec grip) but it does come with rubber wrap around grips that mimic the traditional grip on the 92s that you can change out. Already comes with the D Spring installed so the trigger is a bit lighter on the double action. Front and rear night sights installed means you are not stuck with permanently attached front sight so you have options if you want to change them out in the future. Mine is an earlier produced copy made in Tennessee so it has a ugly stake over the extractor pin over the later made Italian ones. The ammo can case works well if you are not bringing multiple handguns to the range and is easily modified to fit more magazines and a WML.

Overall its expensive but still a real sweet shooter out of the box.

It's a Wright Leather Works holster. They're an Ohio company that does everything custom and I really couldn't be happier with the holster; it's been y cold weather carry for 5-6 years now and has held up really well. I always shill WLW on here whenever I get the chance because they make good shit and they're from the great state of OH

I don’t care for the full-size that much as I feel the compact shoots just as good as the full-size but in a smaller more interesting. I think the compact, other than the lack of grip texture which honestly I don’t mind but I know people do, is the best executed DA/SA compact on the market.

I think you can’t really take advantage of its purportedly less recoil/muzzle flip without the use of a red dot, or I’m not good enough at shooting to do so.

I have like 30+ handguns, but if I could only have one, this one is a strong contender.

Smaller more interesting form factor. The compact feels like it cycles faster and I feel I’m back on target easily when the slide goes back into battery

PX4s shoot nice but their grip is worthless and needs stippling which is annoyingly expensive.

If I have a 40th Anniversary P226 will the P229 feel noticeably different?

It looks 90% the same except half an inch shorter.

It always bothered me why they decided to shoot a zoom in scene on a clearly fake gun. If they were gonna use that instead of what I assume was meant to be a Glock, why not just record a scene behind Vito or in front of Jackie where you can't see the gun and just see Jackie falling to the ground. Hollywood has always been retarded about guns but this just seems like an intentional effort to look extra retarded.

The whole scene felt rushed and was probably filmed by a B-Team in a time crunch on a location without a permit. I mean Jackie's body just happens to fall in the only spot with a decent amount of snow left on the ground.

The 4013 is a single stack based on the babby 45. You can convert them to 10mm pretty easily. The 4013TSW is a double stack based on the 6906 so it's not as slim but still based
