I played dmc2 blind (after 1, 3, 4, and 5) and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Yes the guns do damage and that makes the game shit but it improved heavily on movement and somewhat on swordplay from dmc1. I can't even tell you how much gamer rage the shitty movement and repetitive combat in dmc1 got me.
Other than that most of the purchases I regret boil down to
