Using a laptop to mount a share over wireless with SMB or SSHFS. Same shit on windows/linux.
I disconnect wireless, go cable to same network and the mount definition is unresponsive, sometimes freezing up the whole system. Have to reconnect wireless to unfuck it.
On linux, forcibly rebooting fucks up my BTRFS drive requiring a manual fix.
Both the laptop's and server's network adapters are statically defined on the router, all three on different IPs.
This is inconvenient because I have to manually unmount the share and remount everytime I move to and from my desk, like 2-3 times everyday I'm home for the last few years.
What could I be doing wrong? Is this how it's supposed to be? Do you do a similar thing and what is your experience.
