Yeah but... it wouldn't be humans designing these factories. It wouldn't be humans interpreting blueprints. It would be AI in ten thousand ears peering over the shoulder (or out of the Google Glass) of ten thousand human laborers saying this screw goes here, this wire connects there. it could really be that simple.
Try to imagine an intelligence, greater than a human, thinking at a thousand times human speed. Now imagine 300,000 of them thinking in parallel. That is what AGI looks like.
It's impossible to predict exactly what it will be capable of doing, this is one guess, but it's easy to predict it will be vastly different from what has come before. There has never been anything like it before.

If you have a real interest in these subjects I recommend these resources. Yeah, Sam Altman hypes AI, that's his job. But it's probably not wise to dismiss it as just hype. It could really happen; it probably is going to happen.
