This debacle, this kerfuffle, been ongoing for longer than a decade.
It became especially jarring in the last several years, when some utterly insufferable Cucknadian faggots (picrel for prime example of such loser cunts) started misappropriating Raccoon for themselves, proclaiming it to be Toronto or Montreal, or some other shit like that. The situation worsened drastically when retards that were making RE2make literally put a screencap/.png of Montreal's downtown area as a backdrop of "Raccoon's skyline" at the title screen, despite the fact that it's explicitly being clearly mentioned in the canon lore that Raccoon city is in Pennsylvania.
