I've given up on multiplayer FPS games, blatant cheating is a common occurrence due to low barrier of entry and risk of punishment. Last year I picked up Space Marine 2, a TPS/action game that certainly didn't attract as many cheaters as your typical online shooter (I've met two) and I was dominating 6/7 lobbies I joined for almost 80 hours, at which point the playerbase finally started learning how to play. I had almost forgotten that this is the default experience I should have when I've been playing FPS games for almost 30 years.

If I ever play an online shooter, it's going to be either something under the radar or community policed, ideally both
