I couldn't agree more. It drives me crazy how these get a pass but a bunch of brainwashed normalfags constantly shit on the Gen 5 designs despite ALL of them being a huge step up from these. Sinnoh is where people actually do have rose tinted glasses for this series, it was a huge step down from the previous games in pretty much every way. Gen 5 was a brilliant return to form, but then the series shit the bed forever for some reason. It sucjs because Pokemon was once something legitimately special, but if you try to discuss what was actually good about it, there's tons of pushback from people trying to lump you in with the "Pokemon was never good" crowd, Sinnoh fags who are ass backwards in terms of the qualities of Gen 4 vs Gen 5, and even some who think Gen 3 was death of the series because Gen 2 was the height of synchronicity between the games, and anime.
