Most of the massive declines in birth rate in the 20th century were due to effective birth control becoming widely available. Secondarily due to the industrial revolution and society becoming more urbanized and developed and modern.
In the 19th century people didn't have a lot of kids because they wanted a lot of kids, people were just bored and fucked a lot and when you fuck a lot without birth control you are going to end up having lots of kids. And it wasn't a big deal because you could use them for child labor to earn a supplemental income for the family starting at a young age.
People started having way fewer kids in the 20th century because having kids became increasingly expensive and annoying, at the same time that couples started to have the option to choose whether or not they wanted to have kids.
But all of this is shit from the past. The birth rate hasn't changed significantly in the last 50+ years. The current FUD about birth rates is just a jew psyop to try to justify the mass importation of non-White third worlders for White Replacement.

There isn't really a huge difference in the birth rate today vs the birth rate in the '80s and '90s when boomers were having kids.
At this point, the majority of millennial women have had at least one child, and by the time they reach the end of their child bearing years, ~80% of them will have had kids.
