94% of Sombra fans only like him because they picture him as a rapist. They all want to be raped by him/self-insert as the one raping people. You're not slick. That is EXACTLY what almost all his "fans" are envisioning when they think about him. It's so easy to tell, too, it's PALPABLE. That is ALL you see him as, you don't give a shit about Sombra as a character. He is just an imaginary vehicle for rape fantasies to you.

Plus, if you start with a bunch of exaggerated cartoon personalities and then 'develop' them by ironing them out into normal, well-adjusted characters, then you can't do anything fun with them any more, because they're no longer liable to act out and cause problems. It's antithetical to writing a cartoon.
