I resonate with this, but there's a little more to it than that. Even when you're having a hard time in Silksong, the feeling is always "I know what I'm doing wrong, I feel myself getting better with every attempt, so if I just keep trying it's bound to pay off eventually" and when you finally get past it, it's satisfying as hell. If it were nothing but annoying bullshit where you're just banging your head against a wall and hoping to get by on luck, yeah that would be frustrating. But Silksong's design is very carefully considered. Should be, took 'em long enough.
I think an underrated aspect of Silksong's design is the lack of an i-frame dodge. When damage has to be avoided via positioning, not just button timing, that keeps both the player AND the designer honest when it comes to combat encounters.
