Got my BSB2E. So far
>works, didn't melt yet, that's big upside
>clarity is very much impressive compared to index
>display feels responsive enough and vidya feels just right in motion, but the amount of smearing when you rotate your head makes you laugh at all of those "no anon you don't undertstand 90hz on oled feels like 300hz on a normal display". it doesn't, and if you focus on this smearing/motion blur, it feels like the opposite, as if index was doing a better job at 90hz
>display is somewhat dim at 100%, set it any brighter you get a full speed fan
>i think my gasket is way too close to my face, can see edges of the screen when looking forward and overall image quality feels better when i pull it in by hand. but, of course, i can't do anything about it, no headset-to-head distance adjustment
>eyetracking requires a separate eyetracking license that didn't got included, mildly angry, gonna check if good old eyetrackvr works out of the box
>chromatic aberration is present and obvious in contrasting scenes, but it may be either because I can see fine details for the first time in years after index ownership, or because my eyes are way too close to lenses
>it's lightweight, but finally having it on my head makes me realize that i never really cared about headset weight. though, again, this might be an impression caused by a wrong gasket
>audio strap is not very comfortable
it's very much promising and it offers a substantial upgrade over index in many aspects, but as far as first impressions go, i'm not $1600 impressed
