2: By suggesting Amalia's thread announcement as the "first mistake" you purposefully set up a picture where Amalia is the aggressor and instigator.
3: As I said previously, it IS the right move to ask someone else from the meetup why he was banned, but this is a catch 22. This is just my opinion, but I doubt it would have done anything, or he would have learned anything. Banning Amalia from the meetup is a petty, and pointlessly aggressive move, and such a person wouldn't honestly divulge their reasoning.
It's just a trap for people who aren't paying attention, so hyperbole isn't the right word I guess. You are right. I meant to say gaslighting.
