pretty much, a new series by hori is bound to attract a lot of people because he unironically is a god tier character designer and is pretty good at writing immediately likeable characters.
he's a bit less good at having satisfying payoffs or really take advantage of what he creates, but what he does is good enough to immediately get a lot of popularity and coast off of that momentum
