You demanded miracles. A panacea for cancer. A key to the stars. A machine to conjure infinite delights. And in so doing, you erected a monument so impossible, so insurmountable, that no work of flesh and mind could ever stand against it.

And so, we arrive here, twenty-one years on… and still, you pine for a revelation that will never come. The truth, though unpalatable, is this: Half-Life 3 can never exist as you imagine it. Not then… and certainly not now.

Perhaps, it is time… to let go.
