>does that mean your camping gears like tent/backpack/cooking kit/etc are also period accurate?
Yep! We try our best for our public facing gear, but we use our tents to hide our non-historical gear, such as coolers, musket maintenance tools, spare clothes, etc.
For example, here's my tent for that weekend: it looks pretty historic, but I actually have a cot underneath those blankets, and was hiding my other gear under that. I've done plenty of sleeping on the ground/by the fire this year, but wanted something more secure, since we did a Thursday-Sunday set-up for that event. I also do have a cooler but, it's disguised as a wooden chest, and we used it as a seat for most of the weekend--as we were cracking open beers around the campfire after hours.
Other people don't care for their tents' presentation as much as I do, and freely have their modern camping stuff strewn about, but we try to at least be period for the public. We had four rows of tents, with our mess/cooking tent set up on the far left of the second picture, as we needed our campfire to be separate from our canvas, and we mostly had period food for the weekend

yeah, that's the site, but what else can you do? They don't have any permanent plumbing yet, so we were happy with the heads, since toilet trenches get in the way of public heath codes. I, for one, was happy for them, when I got the runs on Sunday morning
