Teenagehood is when you think shonen is the real shit
Adulthood is understanding that Iyashikei is peak
The genre is pretty wide, too, and you can find stuff that borders on it while also being darker in tone, like Girl's Last Tour. Also, to say a little more about some of my previous mentions without spoiling things, mostly cause I just want to talk about them, Sora No Woto is extremely good, very comfy show with a fun premise and great characters. There is an underlying dark or more serious tone which comes up towards the end, but it's overall a show full of hope and happiness that shines above the darkness it presents. That's reading quite deep into it though. Basically I cried at the end (we call cried) because of how BEAUTIFUL it is
Girls Und Panzer is one of the most FUN shows you'll ever watch. There is "violence" in a way, but it's moreso action because the girls are all partaking in tank battles, but it's all presented as a sport instead of actual war, no one gets seriously harmed and light spoiler all the competing girls end up becoming friends, too, after they compete against eachother it's also a very wholesome show when you look at it as a whole package. There is a light amount of fanservice, but those are usually in OVAs that are not consequential to the main plot, and it never goes beyond the girls just in general being drawn as attractive and sexy. During the climax of certain battles, I was literally standing up and dabbing while basedfacing over how FUCKING COOL it all way. It's so much fun!
I've seen pleanty comfy shows so far, but even still I feel I have barely scratched the surface in terms of the sheer depth of the genre and am always excited to watch more and more
Mono is also good. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. And holy FUCK BROS.... CITY.... C I T Y is impossible to watch without having a dumb fucking smile on your face the entire damn time
I love anime so much it's unreal
