Now say I was on the computer, I am not now but it remains the same. I can't order on mcdonalds desktop site food to go eat in or pick up. With Wendys I can. No telephone needed. No special application needed. Everything can be done right from just about any web browser so no separate application is needed and adds no functionality that a web browser can't.
