>Leiji Matsumoto WANTS you to feel in a certain manner and pulls it off in a really skilled way. People still talk highly off it even though it can hurt
Well... this prompts a question that's related to rozen maiden as well; is a creator (or the entire team responsible for the production if that applies) responsible for the pain and suffering they may cause you with some work that's far too beautiful to handle? I mean, when you're done with a manga or anime that was overly magnificent and now you can't endure the fact it's over and the characters are never coming to life, who will be there for you? should the creators keep in mind that this trauma may knock you out so bad you'd actually be unable to function properly for a while? the melancholy is real, mind you. much like a family member dying or parting ways with you feels like something vital has been torn off of you and now you're bleeding and reeling, finishing rozen maiden or any work of art sends you plummetting down this unbearable spiral of emotional torment that's hard to take
