Can we admit already that Amy has always been a SHIT idea? She was created to be a subversion of Princess Peach. She's a damsel at first but the reason she became a damsel has nothing to do with being the hero's sweetheart. It's because she's a fucking shitty stalker chasing Sonic all over.

And then she continued with the stalker bullshit for a chunk of games until Sega decided that Amy is part of the Founding Characters of the franchise while ignoring other old characters like Metal Sonic. Because Amy fit the role of being Token Shit Girl she got promoted. And Sega decided to retcon her personality to pretend she wasn't always a shitty stalker. All that did was show what a piece of hollow nothing Amy truly is as a character.

No one genuinely likes Amy because of her characterization. And no masturbating to porn of her has NEVER counted as liking a character. I sincerely hope Sonic Movie 4 with the new Feminism Amy is a fucking FAILURE and that it kills the Sonic Movies.
