I think that's the point. Yakumo is supposed to be young and inexperienced. Hayabusa is an older man, while Yakumo is almost a teen. Ninjas are also supposed to be very slim and fast, so it fits. None of them look like realistic portrayals of Ninja but Yakumo is a lot closer to one than Ryu when it comes to both outfit and body type
