You don't usually hold your phone like that when reading. But yes, rotating gets rid of the white line on bookwalker app but Kobo app doesn't have one to begin with. Bookwalker one has the ability to pinch to zoom and handle two pages images properly with the screen rotated though. I guess you can't have much when on Android.
