DMM is having a super sale. The standard point back has been raised to 50%, some publishers like Ichijinsha or KTC have 70% and Micro Magazine 90%. So if you ever wanted to buy Omae Gotoki or Hitokiri, it won't get much better than this. There's still 10% tax so you may consider the actual values 10 lower.
Furthermore they have single use coupons with 15% off for 10,000 yen with an upper limit of 5000 yen so make purchases of 33,333 to get the most of it. Yurihime has a lot of 22 yen volumes you can use to get as close as possible.

And since it's DMM it should apply to most recent releases and the listed pre-orders as well. There's some exceptions so ensure everything is in order before checking out.
There's going to be weekly changes so the publishers currently at 50% may get a higher return later on. It can still be worthwhile for discounted volumes.

That Doujin that came out recently seemed to match the vibe of the novels way better than the official Manga. And I think that was the artist's first work too.

If you're thinking of the translated chapters, bear in mind they're a couple behind the raws. It would be ending on chap 31, so 5 chapters in the last volume which is what most have been.

I figured it would end with the quadrille dance they've been preparing for from the start and which was getting pretty close, but now it feels like the author will just have to rush to it or end it before it happens. In terms of the relationship between the leads, Michiru already confessed to Kiki and Kiki figured out the reply she wants to give her so there isn't much left to do there for a standard ending where they get together.

Not explicitly yet but she keeps thinking how being with Michiru makes her happy. With no more time to spare she's most likely just going to give her a positive answer after the quadrille and the series will end, unless the author decides to be an asshole about it and leave it open.

Sorry anons, but for me the series has been stretching the same plot points for a while now, I thought maybe it was getting anime and so the author was just making sure to not reach the climax yet, but it's clear to me now the author already had the ending in mind and never had any interest in doing anything but hammering the same point over and over.

Which was something I was going to bring up, while it's okay to have different levels of intimacy and developments in the magazine, I feel like editors are struggling how to direct stories like this, if you are going to have a confession you are building the expectation for a romantic resolution and progress, now we will most likely just get a kiss and honestly I very much doubt readers will feel satisfied with just this. I don't even want to consider an open ending because it honestly would be insulting. We may hope stuff like Garan No Hime may give us something more, but it's definitely not building expectation for this.

Unfortunately this goes down to the author's skill, she wasn't able to create a more interesting story outside of the will or won't they dynamic, it has been a long time since this series started, people got bored and moved on.

Kobo is a bit more convenient for ripping in bulk, with DMM you have to open each book in the viewer which takes a bit of time.

Puchihore looks like it's rushing to resolve its plot so I suspect it's another axed at vol 3 series.

Damn, if there's one thing Kobo is good for is that you can be sure it will always serve regular nearly unmodified epubs with only some additional metadata for their reader devices baked in. Although publishers tend to forget to update them on Kobo in those rare cases when they do it on other stores (cough, Girl Friends, cough).

You can see what file format they use before buying. The page will list

respectively. There's no direct distinction between fixed and flexible layout epubs but it shouldn't really be necessary.

I've have issues with Kobo as well. For Towako issues the epubs there are rescaled to x1920 while DMM has them at x2880. But for the Towasoushi comics the roles are reversed with DMM at x1920 and Kobo at x2880.

The censorship itself is the same so it's not like it's the default of an external company ruining it while adding censorship as in some other cases.
Haven't seen anything like that for all-ages releases and those tend to be exclusively epub on DMM as well.

At least on the Kobo side I'd be able to contribute myself quite a lot. But coding hobby projects is always a pain even if I YOLO and vibe half of it with Cursor (as much as I detest using agents).

The target audience for that is far too limited. Pirates are just going to grab whatever they get and many customers will stick to one store.
In order to get real data you'd have to purchase the same thing across a lot of different stores.
For Kobo you can generally trust the previews, those contain the same files as the full epub and they don't even have DRM so you can extract the images directly without having to go through Calibre.
It may be more practical to simply keep an archive of the best versions and possibly splice them together from different versions with various shortcomings.

With some imagemagick I've turned the white in the censored image transparent and laid it over an upscaled uncensored.
The result is far from perfect, the jpeg artifects around the censored parts create some problems, but this has the advantage of being automatized.
But that approach can only work if both versions are derived from a common origin. Older released can be produced from different scans and incompatible.
