There's a reason why EVERYONE wanted to make superhero shit and have their own series, whereas Power Rangers got like two clones and they enver attempted anything thereafter.
And like i said, toy shelves were absolutely dominated by Batman and Xmen...
And i won't deny that Power Rangers had a tickle me elmo surge during the holidays, but that's exactly what that is, a brief moment where it shined and then kinda petered for the rest of the year.
And another thing is Power Rangers was kinda limited in that it was mainly younger kids that liked it. Superheroes (and TMNT) were more universal, so you had teens and adults buying them too and directly led to the collector toy market for action figures.
